There's a lot of fundamemtals here that sound like they'd be ideal for a flight tracker/ads-b exchange[1] network. A bunch of parties contributing and auditing data collectively. Going beyond shallow ideas of p2p and talking about Multi-Party Compute is interesting.

Notably this seems quite hosted/centralized a system, as a coordinator/facilitator of the distributed trust. But many of core technologies around group-cryptography/signing seem like they'd be the same even im a more distributed system.

To that effect, worth noting that the ietf's Message Layer Security (mls) work has been very active & underway for quite a while, and encompasses a lot of group cryptography concerns. They just submitted their first three proposals back in September, after many years of work!
