Overall, the article is quite informative but I wonder why the above is the only mention of law enforcement. We've gone from the days of "encryption considered harmful" and stringent limits on the exportation of security products from the U.S. to begrudging acceptance that encryption is a fact of life. What happened? Why is law enforcement no longer screaming from the rooftops that encryption is evil and that the terrorists will murder you in your bed because of it? Maybe the agencies don't care anymore because they have better ways of tracking you and spying on everything you do? Or maybe this new tool is equipped with backdoors because the Cult of the Dead Cow is really the NSA or the CIA in disguise. Dunno but I do wonder about the silence on the part of law enforcement.

    There are bills trying to get encryption restricted in Congress right now talk to your representatives. (And don't worry if you are European, they have bills you need to fight too)
