panqueca 13 days ago I think it's a good time to Apple open its closed garden to allow sideloading. It's 2024 and people should have the right to use their device as they would like to.Any sort of restriction is a censorship too. Doesn't matter if it comes from governments or companies.

Cody-99 13 days ago Honestly I'm surprised most of them were even available for download to begin with. Signal and telegram have been blocked on a network level for years so even if you could download them they were mostly useless. panqueca 13 days ago Useless? I don't think so. What about TOR, VPN and Proxy? Cody-99 13 days ago Maybe useless was a bit strong of a word. Combined with some VPN/proxy to bypass the great firewall they of course would become functional.

Are there any E2E-encrypted chat apps still available used in China?
