It works for me in Firefox when I set the color-theme(?) for websites to light. There is automatic, light and dark. Dark seems to deactivate this completely, and automatic seems to use dark because of my system-settings.
I don't know how this is called in english, and the Firefox-documentation sucks so hard that there is no way to get to the english version from my language.
