Stripe froze mutual aid project's acct without cause, is illegally closing it
This action on Stripe's part will cost us tens of thousands of dollars in lost subscription income.
We have requested information re: what specific term violation we've allegedly committed. Stripe will not answer.
They've held our money for over a month now, profiting off it while also refusing to return it to the kind people who gave to our mutual aid project.
I knew that Stripe had been getting more and more evil over the years - the product was increasingly more expensive for no reason, and worse, and the customer service was borderline psychopathic.
We're in the process of suing Stripe for multiple instances of illegal behavior.
YC, while never good, almost all of your tentpole companies - Airbnb, Stripe, certainly OpenAI - are now explicitly evil.
You have a serious problem. If it isn't fixed, there are going to be millions of jilted users that you profited off of who will be gleefully watching your downfall.
