Well, at least they are consistent in demanding the same capabilities online and offline. What this law wants is simple - the state should be all-seeing, you should not be able to share a single word with your friends without the possibility that it is being recorded (at near-zero cost to the state).
dont know about anybody else, but what I see on the mean streets is an ongoing drug epidemic, caused by people wanting to get high, and the conflicting enforcement of some laws but not others.
The absolute proof that "they" are all in on it, is the simple fact that the profits from illegal drug sales, runs into hundreds of billions of dollars, and the only way to move that kind of money, is through the international banking system.And move it does.
The same banking system that wont let me, or you, move more than a couple of thousand dollars around at a time, and records everything, somehow is completly incpapable of tracking sums in the billion plus range.
