Reminds me of Karl Marx's critique of work under capitalism, describing how workers feel alienated from their own labor:

"The worker therefore only feels himself outside of work, and in his work feels outside himself. He is at home when he is not working, and when he is working he is not at home."

I had my own version during the COVID shutdown: "The worker therefore feels like they are at work even when they are at home, and when they are at home they feel like they are at work."
