California has an archaic Prop 8 rule that allows home owners to apply for a reduction in property tax if their home value is lower than county assessment.

The process to file it is reading a 100 page doc called publication 30 to precisely choose comparable around you, fill out a form, sign it and fax/mail it to county assessor.

I built saveproptax to automate it using an LLM trainer on publication 30 rules, Redfin data and some basic worker to send faxes/emails. it’s already saving Bay Area home owners an average of $2,800 property tax reduction each year.
