and localy there was water effect snow comming of the Bay of Fundy that just didn't stop, and at one point I called the dog off the roof as he simply walked up the snow bank to check things out.
I am getting ready now and hope to have a simple plan in place to sit things out.
water effect snow happens when colder hummid air hits warmer open water, and will produce a blizard without actual clouds as the whole thing happens horizontaly and is often hyper local, but can produce truely prodigious amounts of snow.
Zero atlantic hurricane weather so far, but a pause in the wind sheer keeping them down
could happen without notice, and basicly everybody should be doing there due dilligance for whatever the local extreams can be going forward.
And yet our climate change denialists insist its just weather, and that Net Zero is the economic devil.

One or two very large events can totally eclipse the cost to economy of reducing emissions and focussing on long term stable low emission power. Those very large events are becoming more common. A couple of years back we ran a multi jurisdictional exercise about a high end cyclone hitting the local major city. Even with 4 days warning there was insufficient time to evacuate the entire population of several million, and rehousing was an almost unsolvable nightmare. That city is not cyclone ready or hardened, but the climate models enable high category events travelling where they were previously quite unlikely.
Unlikely since they used the term cyclone, probably Australia as that's the sort of place they would most likely do something like that and have someone posting on hacker news about it.
It does not affect them. The decision makers and the powers influencing them can build mega yachts etc to avoid any potential issues arising from climate changes.
yes but if it doesn't effect them think of all that profit they'll have lost for the rich shareholders. did you ever stop to think of the billionaires?! no you didn't because you wanted a nice planet for everyone and all the animals. Shame on you!!!

Im guessing Perth or Sydney. A big cyclone hitting either would be... non ideal.
Also, further south in Australia than is currently typical, since big cyclones hit northern cities relatively frequently.
