I've always had this paradigm that I fall back to when uncertain of things, or encounter stuff I am not sure about: find out what your enemies want you to do, and don't do it.

These last few weeks really just boggle my mind, as an American. Seriously - whose side is the administration on?

Yes yes yes - "the last few weeks?!?" etc, but you get what I mean.

isnt this system controlled by the us government? distinct from consumer starlink service?

  • rasz 1 day ago

Ordinary Starlink got a speed limit. I read somewhere if you cross to Poland that limit magically bumps to 180 km/s, and it wasnt present on Starlink before.

EU was supposed to launch up sats to act as backup in case this happened, but as usual EU is all talk, no action ?

Its worked on, but space timelines are long. They never meant tomorrow well outcompete starlink. But that a European alternative is in progress.

This seems to be a Trump originated attempt to hobble Ukraine to help Russia win. The supposed leader of the free world seems a bit of a Russian sponsored traitor to same.

It takes both Trump and Musk to do this.
