Show HN: ElNeo, a E2E enabled matrix client for Emacs, inspired by telega
github.comAbout a year ago I was wondering how hard it'd be to build an e2e enabled emacs matrix client similar to how telega does things: use mature libraries to build a daemon that speaks JSON to emacs.
I did a proof of concept for the e2e bits, and over time built a chat client on top. I recently switched to it as my only client on most devices - and thought maybe it's time to give it a better name than "matrix", and cut it out of my .emacs.d it was developed in. So I asked an LLM to write tests for everything to have a sensible baseline, split it out, and renamed everything.
There probably is still a bit of breakage linking back to my config, but I'm relatively confident all major issues got fixed over the last week of testing.
