There's no GNU operating system, GNU is nothing but a few command line tools and an obnoxious licence.
The open source software I have in my Linux installation Is from a variety of projects, including KDE, Apache, Gnome, Boost, nginx, BSD, and so on.
The original GNU project has failed to achieve anything, so they piggyback on the success of Linux. That's shameful.
